Magdalene Omaha/Thistle Lights is a survivor-led program of healing, recovery, and economic empowerment for women who experienced sex trafficking/prostitution, violence, and addiction.
What We Do
We are a survivor-led program of healing, recovery, and economic empowerment for women who experienced sex trafficking/prostitution, violence, and addiction. Our two-year residential recovery program offers long-term housing, access to comprehensive trauma-informed care, legal support, and educational assistance for our residents. Residents also gain employment experience through Thistle Lights, our survivor-led small business which features hand-made products designed and crafted with love by a survivor!
We're Part of the Love Heals Movement
We’re a sister program of Thistle Farms in Nashville, Tennessee where this model was founded by Becca Stevens over 20 years ago. Their motto is “love heals,” and the hundreds of women that have graduated from their program these past decades are a testament to that truth. We also are grateful to the many organizations in this area with whom we partner and collaborate to ensure our community works together to best serve the needs of survivors of sex trafficking/prostitution.
